And it needn’t be always your gal pals surrounding you while you walk into the aisle. 1. Make the kids work it out for you

Get hold of the little ones to do a parade before you make an entry. This would be funny, cute and a fun-filled way to show how you are ready to bond with the in-laws. Kids can hold placards of the relationship they share with you and walk down the aisle, and you can follow them. Everyone would be in peels of cheer and laughter, we assure.

2. Do a flash run

You have got to be very sure about this, especially knowing that the wedding bridal wear you have worn is heavy and those shoes too. But your wedding entrance needs to be a hit, which is why instead of walking into the aisle, you can along with your bridesmaid team make a flash run onto the altar.

Before the reception happens, throw a challenge to your husband to see who reaches the venue first on foot. 6. A little cross dressing fun

Ask the grooms and bridesmaids to swap gender clothing and to form a parade right before you make an entry into the reception. If only for a few minutes, this would be a fabulous fun way to make the bridal entry a very memorable one. If you want to quirk things up, do the same with your husband too. Wouldn’t we want to have more laughs watching the bride dressed as a groom?

7. Jive and jig away

Everyone knows how much you love to dance and to make moments happen through your moves too. This is why, before the entrance to the mandap happens, here is a unique way to make a bridal entry - through a dance. It could be a traditional folk dance, a hip-hop number or a Bollywood song; a bridal dance would make everyone tap their feet and would also cheer the crowd more.

For a very princessy affair, since your daddy always treated you as one, arrange for a palki to take you into the bridal altar. This is a very traditional way to enter for sure, but you can quirk it up with a fanfare of Bollywood numbers being played at the background. When everyone’s busy dancing, the palki can make its way with you in it towards the mandap.

Nothing makes the moment more vibrant and cheerful than a couple of your own friends beating the drums or the dhol before you make an entry. Drumroll for the queen please, and that is exactly what would pep up the crowds and bring on more happiness as you walk into the reception.

10. Write it in the stars

Remember the number of times you sat with your husband, under the twinkling night sky and spoke about the wedding plans, of your future together and of the love the two of you shared? When making an entree, what better way to assure that the marriage would be a heavenly one, than to have a row of friends on either sides standing with sparkles in their hand. Sit on a scooter and ride right in. Let this eternal love be written in the stars!

11. Have a drinking game organised

Indian weddings aren’t devoid of drinking parties, mostly. What you could do is to have the bridesmaids and the grooms down shots of alcohol or go bottoms up; one at a time, and mark it with drum beats giving you a sign to make an entry. By the time the last one is done, you as a bride would be on the altar.

12. Ride in on a cycle

Pretty old-school for sure, but it works like magic. There is always a very romantic feeling to the same when brides are ridden on a cycle by their husbands and ushered into the wedding hall or the mandap.
