The much-awaited wedding of tinsel town hottest couple, Bipasha Basu, and Karan Singh Grover was joyful, lovely and a crazy wedding of two individuals who are madly in love. This wedding was not like any other Bollywood wedding as we all expect, it was a private affair meant only for family members and close friends.

Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover met on the sets of movie ‘Alone’. And soon then after there was a rumor about the couple’s alleged love affair. Their Instagram accounts were full of adorable vacations and parties pictures, and although none of them acknowledged their relationship publicly, we were let in on the secret through this peek into their happy love story!

In proper Bollywood style, Karan Singh Grover proposed Bipasha Basu by going down on his knees and popping the question with a solitaire. And of course, Bip's, said yes!

The couple’s journey to finally tying-the-knot was tough as Basu’s dad was not convinced of KSG’s financial stability or commitment. Was that going to stop these lovers?

Soon after, the couple moved in together in a luxurious apartment at Khar, Mumbai and these stuck it out till senior Basu finally agreed and gave the couple his blessings. They waited for over a year for this approval of Mr. Basu.

Later, the couple announced their wedding on Instagram with a fantastic photoshoot and invitation.

Few days later they jointly released a wedding note confirming their wedding news and date. The note read – “We are happy to finally share the good news with everyone. 30 April is the big day and we cannot thank our family, friends, fans and well-wishers enough for their love and support. The wedding will be a private intimate affair. Our deepest gratitude for respecting our privacy this far. We hope to have your continued blessings and warm wishes as we embark on this new journey together.”

The Bong beauty was also seen flaunting her huge engagement ring with elegance. Her fans were going bizarre since then.

Pre-wedding shoot

After they had confirmed the wedding date, the couple posted cute and lovely pre-wedding photos.

The pre-wedding shoot also included invite video as well as their creatively designed wedding invite. The invite card was simple yet elegant, in gold and white, mentioning all the details like the timing, date and the venue of the wedding.

Bridal shower & Bachelor’s party

The wedding was a cause of celebration for not just Karan and Bipasha, but for their friend’s group too. Bipasha’s friends left no stone unturned to throw her the coolest Bachelorette party ever! Bipasha had a fun filled bridal shower. The Bong beauty looked very excited and happy to become a bride.

Karan gave Bipasha a surprise by gatecrashing her bachelorette party before leaving for his bachelor's party in Goa with his ‘monkey pack’. This gatecrashed nobody minded, not Bips, nor her friends and neither the couple’s numerous fans!

Wedding gift

Even before their wedding day has arrived, the couple was being showered by an array of beautiful and creative presents. Some days before her wedding Bipasha’s sisters, Vijayeta Basu, and Baitalikee Ghosh gifted her with a wedding planner diary, with her name printed on it.

As, Bipasha Basu likes to plan every single detail of any of her event, be it big or small, so it came as a surprise for Bip’s that her little sisters gave her something for the event. Something which is the most important thing in her life! Along with the planner came a heartfelt note from her little sisters that read -

“Dear didi,

Everything is digital and on the interwebz these days, but feel free to stick bills, lists, printouts, references and perhaps even photos of behind the scenes madness that is inevitable in this planner. Hopefully it will be an adorbs keepsake that will make you go “Awww!” in years to come. Congratulations! Still can’t believe you are getting married. This is insane, loca even but all in amazingly good ways.

Wish you and Karan all the love and luck. Hang in there till the wedding, after which it is all smooth sailing.

Pre-wedding functions

The pair decided to get hitched in traditional Bengali style. Which was concluded with the Pooja rituals and Mehendi ceremonies.

We give full points to the lovely couple for being the most adorable couple in B-town!

The day started with a Haldi ceremony. Later, in the evening, the couple was going to wed according to Bengali rituals at a south Mumbai hotel. Followed by the dinner.

Both bride-to-be Bipasha Basu and groom-to-be Karan Singh Grover uploaded pictures of briddhi, pre-wedding pooja on Instagram, which was performed according to Bengali rituals, and was held on Thursday.

The bride-to-be Bip’s was dressed in an elegant Pink Saree with Kundan jewelry on it. Bipasha Basu looked so radiant when she posed for the camera with Karan and family and friends during the pre-wedding pooja. Karan wore a white kurta, which completely complemented Bip’s looks. The duo was eithern laughing uproariously or making funny faces in the pictures; that was of course when they were not looking dreamily into each other’s eyes. Even their gifts came with monkey motifs!

KSG’s and Bip’s friends Deanne Pandey and Rocky were also present for the Pooja.

Mehendi and Sangeet

The sangeet and mehndi ceremonies were held on Friday, 29^th April at Villa 69 a Lounge in Juhu. The bong beauty wore a pink lehenga coinciding the pink theme, with floral jewelry by Anushree Reddy for her sangeet and mehndi function. KSG kept it simple in a classic white outfit. They invited Karan and his family and friends to the function.

The mehndi and sangeet ceremony was a funfilled affair with friends like actors Shamita Shetty and Shilpa Shetty Kundra, fashion designer Rocky S, fitness expert Deanne Panday and Sophie Choudry partying with the happy couple. While Thursday was family time with briddhi - a pooja held according to Bengali rituals, Friday saw friends and family dancing and enjoying.

Sangeet and Mehendi were completely a fun and frolic night.

Wedding Attire

KSG and Bip’s wedding was like a fairytale, exactly the way Bipasha wanted it to be. The wedding was an intimate and private ceremony, were all the rituals were according to the Bengali customs.

The dashing Groom gave a unique entry to the mandap on a Segway amidst the dhol sounds. While Bipasha came to the mandap covering her face with betel leaves as seen in Bengali wedding rituals.

While it was Bipasha Basu’s first wedding, who was prior dating John Abraham, it is Karan's third marriage.

Karan was at first married to actress Shraddha Nigam, and later to Jennifer Winget.

The weddings took place in Mumbai and was attended by close relatives and friends. While this lovely couple has won hearts of everyone on the social networking sites, it was disliked by few haters who have been talking about Karan’s incapability of sustaining his earlier marriages. However, like they say, third time is a charm!

We wish the couple heartiest congratulations, and for Bipasha to look like such a happy, beaming bride, Karan must have done something right!

Reception party

As the couple did not want a grand reception; they threw after wedding party at Pallazio Banquet in St. Regis Hotel earlier known as Palladium Hotel, a suburban five-star hotel in Mumbai.

Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover’s wedding reception was one of the most happening wedding receptions. Well-known Bollywood biggies graced the occasion with their sheer presence. From Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Salman khan to Ritesh Deshmukh along with her expecting wifey Genelia, the who’s who of Bollywood was present to bless the couple on their Big Day.

What an extravaganza wedding it was!
